Charlie Schaupp for 2nd Assembly District

New Leadership in Sacramento for the North State

Recently back from a 5-year mobilization, including combat operations in the battle for Fallujah, U.S. Marine Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Schaupp has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for California’s 2nd Assembly District.

"As Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve, I served in combat operations in Iraq and in Desert Storm. I have proudly fought for my country leading troops into battle in Kuwait in 1991 and fighting terrorism in Fallujah, Iraq in 2004. Now, it's time to lead new fights, and I will fight to secure America's border to ensure that illegal immigrants and terrorists can't walk into the U.S. I will also fight big spenders and bring fiscal responsibility back to Sacramento. Fighting illegal immigration and the $10 billion a year it costs California is also the first step toward getting California’s budget under control."

4th Generation Native Northern Californian

Charlie Schaupp, who's family farming business 'Schaupp Farms' has actively farmed in the 2nd District since the 1880s, confirmed his decision by concluding that there lacks a viable conservative in the race that would represent the values of this Northern California Assembly district.

“For 5 generations, my family has worked to protect our community’s way of life and our agricultural heritage. I fought to protect our Nation’s way of life for 26 years in the Marine Reserves. Now that I have fulfilled my duty to the Marine Corps, it’s clear there is a great deal to be done right here at home. I’m not done serving."
